About Us
Northport Roofing Company is a small roofing outfit based in Northport, Alabama, and the name says what we do. Repairs. Leaks, storm damage, flashing, shingles, metal, mobile homes. We replace roofs when a roof needs replacing, but repair is the business, and we are not interested in talking a homeowner with a $400 problem into a $10,000 solution.
The crew is small on purpose. The person who climbs the ladder and finds the leak is the person who quotes it and the person who fixes it. Nothing gets handed from a salesman to an estimator to a subcontractor, and nothing gets lost in between.
How we quote
Every job starts with a look, not a guess from the truck. For a leak we go in the attic and on the roof before we say a number. Then the number is written down, with photos of what we found, and it does not change unless we open something up and find rot nobody could have seen. When that happens we stop, show you, and quote the extra before we touch it.
We do not do high-pressure estimates, we do not leave a salesman at your kitchen table, and we do not knock doors after storms.
If we cannot find the leak on the first visit, which happens with the ones that only show in a sideways rain, we say so and come back with a hose instead of guessing and charging you for a patch in the wrong place.
Insured
We carry general liability and workers’ compensation coverage, and we will email the certificate of insurance before anyone is on your roof. Ask any roofer for the same thing. The ones who hesitate are the ones you want off your property.
Where the City of Northport, the City of Tuscaloosa, or Tuscaloosa County requires a permit for a re-roof, we pull it. Most repairs do not need one. We tell you which is which.
Where we work
Northport is home. We cover the city, Tuscaloosa across the river, and the county from Coker and Fosters on the west to Brookwood, Vance, and Lake View on the east, and north to Samantha and the lake.
