Roofing Notes

Notes from the roof. Things we see on Northport and Tuscaloosa County roofs that are worth writing down: what failed, why it failed here specifically, what it cost, and what the homeowner could have done a year earlier for a fraction of the price.

No filler, no national roofing-industry news. Short posts, local roofs, real numbers. We add to this when we have something worth saying, not on a schedule.

Expect posts on what the spring fronts did to a particular street, what a pipe boot looks like at year 10, how a hail claim actually went for a Cottondale homeowner, and which metal roof coatings held up through an Alabama August and which did not.

If a post raises a question about your own roof, the number is the same as everywhere else on this site: (205) 555-0199.
